80m - 10m End Fed Half Wave Project - Phase 1
For a long time I have been quite content with just talking on local repeaters using only the 2m and 70cm bands. I have had my General License for many years and yet have never utilized my access to the HF air waves primarily due to a lack of having a proper antenna to get me there. That is about to change! I am excited to say that with a fair bit of hunting down parts and some amazing contributions by a friend of mine, I am very close to having all that I need to get on HF finally. 80m to 10m to be exact. This is the first phase of this process. I will be sharing some photos of the process that detail out some of the main components of my HF antenna.
We need a tower to give us a strong base for our antenna.
Once I take a wire brush to this and give it a couple coats of paint it will be looking great!
On top of our tower we are going to use a coated pole that I have constructed from the old bottom pieces of an old trampoline that I had recently disposed of. I placed some screws in each joint to sure it up. I will also be adding a coat of paint to this and then it is ready to be added to the tower bringing the total height up to 46'.

Finally, our antenna that is made for 80m - 10m. I will be working on getting all of this connected and raised up once my parts come in the mail that I require to raise the tower! It is an exciting adventure and I look forward to making this all come together very soon!
